How to Change your Keyboard from English to Spanish

Escribir en español en tu ordenador si tu teclado es inglés puede ser muy complicado ya que, como bien sabes, en español tenemos símbolos y una letra que no existen en otros idiomas. Por ejemplo:

• Cuando tienes que escribir una pregunta, has de poner dos interrogaciones, una al principio de la frase y otra al final    ¿…?
• Lo mismo ocurre con los símbolos de las exclamaciones   ¡…!
• También tenemos el acento sobre las vocales á, é, í, ó, ú  
• Y  nuestra famosa letra ñ

Writing in Spanish on your computer if your keyboard is English can be a little bit tricky because as you already know, in Spanish we have symbols and a letter that do not exist in other languages. For example:

• When you have to write a question, you have to put two questions, one at the beginning of the sentence and one at the end   ¿…?
• The same happens with the symbols of the exclamations ¡…!
• We also have the accent on the vowels á, é, í, ó, ú  
• And our famous letter ñ 

Por eso, voy a mostrarte cómo cambiar tu teclado para escribir en español de modo sencillo y sin compliaciones, ¡como a nosotros nos gusta!

So, I’m going to show you how to change your keyboard to write in Spanish in a simple and very easy way, just as we all like it!

Esta instalación la tendrás que hacer solamente una vez. Vamos paso por paso:

You are going to have to do a one-time install. This is what you neeed to do:

1. Go to Start
2. Then to Control Panel
3. Once you are in Control Panel you want to find Languages & Region setting
4. Come over to Keyboards and Languages
5. Change Keyboards
6. Press Add to add another keyboard
7. You will see different languages, you should choose Spanish
8. Hit OK and should see that Spanish has been added
9. Now, come up to Language Bar and select Dock in the Taskbar and tick Show text labels, hit OK

Verás que en tu barra de tareas aparece: ENG, cliquea sobre ella y te aparecerá la opción ESP, cliquea sobre ella y ya lo tienes, tu teclado ha cambiado a español. ¿Ves qué sencillo?

You will see that on your taskbar appears: ENG, click on it and the ESP option will appear, click on it and you already have it, your keyboard has changed to Spanish. See how simple?

Consejo: Para ver exactamente dónde están situadas las letras y símbolos, yo me imprimí el teclado en español (que te dejo aquí abajo) y así le echo un vistazo si no recuerdo dónde están algunos símbolos.

Tip: To see exactly where the letters and symbols are located, I printed the keyboard in Spanish (you can see it below) and so I take a look if I do not remember where some symbols are.
