Before starting my lessons with Teresa I was stuck and not progressing with my Spanish. Now, thanks to my conversation classes with her, I can understand when I hear people speak and I am confident in having conversations entirely in Spanish. Teresa listens to what I would like to do in our classes and provides nicely presented and useful materials. She gives great feedback and tips and is a pleasure to learn Spanish with. She tried to get us to understand the language in the context of how it was actually spoken in Spain, rather than translating everything literally. She encouraged us to try out our hesitant attempts at communicating.
Teresa spoke to us, mainly in Spanish, in order to demonstrate how the Spanish language actually sounded when spoken. She set us homework which challenged us without overwhelming us.
We had great fun in our lessons and because of this felt relaxed. This led to us trying out the new language without feeling stupid if we made mistakes. It was altogether a very positive experience and my only regret is that it could continue for longer”.

We started Spanish lessons with Teresa Buendia in 2016. We were both beginners and Teresa put us both at ease from day one. She is an excellent teacher and very encouraging.
